Fans of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things can now travel into its eerie world at an immersive experience hitting our shores in June.
What do fans love about the show? Its nostalgic 80s vibe, soft horror elements, and the alternate reality of the Upside Down are just some things. Now, all these will be coming to life at Stranger Things – The Encounter: Singapore, presented by Netflix and designer toy studio Mighty Jaxx. Distinguishing itself from other Stranger Things experiences worldwide, this unique hybrid retail-experience concept places emphasis on merchandise from start to finish, including the ticketing experience. Instead of traditional tickets, visitors utilise an online platform called the Vault, which enables them to personalise their own characters.
Stranger Things – The Encounter features multisensorial spaces littered across two levels of Bugis+. Start your journey by collecting your XPass (entrance wrist tag) at the Visitor Centre located on Level 2. With this XPass, you’ll be able to collect FRGMNTS (virtual collectibles) throughout the experience. These can be used to customise your character in the Vault and then materialise them into merchandise at the Starcourt Mall, a retail space at the end of the experience.
Once you’re all geared up, move on to The Encounter on Level 7, a 45-minute experience that invites you to step into the world of Stranger Things with the Hawkins High Hellfire Club. Wander through iconic locations like Joyce's House, The Lab, Creel House...and the Upside Down with interactive games and sensory elements that will immerse you right in.
If your heart can't handle the thrill, a mere $15 will give you access to the Starcourt Mall where you can shop for an extended range of Stranger Things merchandise in an 80s-themed set-up. Hungry? Indulge in local-flavoured gelato at Scoops Ahoy or grab a slice of pizza from Surfer Boy Pizza.
And if you're simply seeking to grab some merchandise and go, then head to the Palace Arcade – a free-for-all retail zone on Level 2 that, while offering only a fraction of what you can find at the Starcourt Mall, still provides a satisfactory selection.
The experience costs $39 per person on weekdays and $109 for a Priority Pass ticket that comes with an exclusive merchandise bundle.
Stranger Things – The Encounter: Singapore will run from June 30 to October 1. Can't wait to travel to the Upside Down? Book your slots here.
