To accommodate movie lovers and filmmakers during these strange times, Singapore Chinese Film Festival is rolling out its ninth edition as a hybrid event with in-cinema screenings at Oldham Theatre, FilmGarde Bugis+, Golden Village Suntec City and VivoCity, as well as virtual screenings available on Shaw KinoLounge. This year, the festival spotlights over 40 films and shorts, promising something for everyone. Highlights include the opening film Hand Rolled Cigarette which follows a retired British Chinese soldier, a young South Asian man, and an encounter at the notorious Chungking Mansions.
