We're no stranger to converted power stations. St. James Power Station once found new life as a nightlife destination (and it's now the headquarters of Dyson). Soon, Pasir Panjang Power Station will go through a similar transformation.
From May 6 to 8, the disused space will be converted into one huge cinema for Projector X: Electric Cinema. Put together by The Projector and 24OWLS, the event will be screening films like Dune, Blade Runner, The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, and Tiong Bahru Social Club in the cathedral-like turbine hall.
A good change of scenery from the usual theatres, and we suspect the industrial charm of the building will make for some stellar photos too. To secure a spot at Projector X: Electric Cinema, theprojector.sg/themes/projector-x-electric-cinema/.
