This September, raise a toast to one of the most iconic cocktails of all time: the classic negroni. Comprising three simple ingredients – gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari – this cocktail has delighted tipplers all over the world for the past 100 years. From September 16 to 23, Negroni Week by Campari is making a comeback for its 12th edition. Bars in over 160 countries will be celebrating the beloved drink through events highlighting Campari, and Singapore is not excluded.
Look forward to guest shifts with drink promotions and one-night-only specials. Kicking off the exciting week is the Negroni Week opening party at the newly-minted 52nd-floor restaurant SushiSamba, happening on the 16th. Next, L’Antiquario from Naples, Italy (44th on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 list) will be taking over Neon Pigeon on September 17. On September 18, Enclave Bar on Neil Road will be hosting a party featuring live swing dancing by Lindy Hop, and complimentary shaves by Hounds of The Baskerville – a local 18th-century-inspired gentlemen’s barbershop. And on September 20, join a guest shift at Astor Bar in The St. Regis Singapore, where Jun Han Ong — former Campari Red Hands Singapore Champion in 2019 — will be shaking up some drinks. And finally, rounding off the week, 67 Pall Mall will be hosting an F1 brunch party with Negroni in collaboration with Lady Trieu Gin from Vietnam.
Throughout Negroni Week, you’ll also get to taste a special rendition of the cocktail using baijiu instead of gin at 48 bars across Singapore. This is part of Campari’s collaboration with Wuliangye, a popular liquor brand in China. This novel invention, termed ‘Wugroni’, will be available at participating bars like Nutmeg & Clove, Night Hawk, HighHouse, and more.
