Things are gonna be a little different for this year’s M1 Singapore Fringe Festival. Instead of being given a specific theme to curate their creations around, artists were asked about the social issues that they were most concerned about, and from there, a line-up of great works were chosen based on their compelling stories. As with every year, this annual festival will feature a series of performances by both local and international talents, with this edition’s items covering themes like climate change, marginalisation of minorities, and other pressing matters in our communities.
There will be in-person programmes happening at the Esplanade, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), and The Theatre Practice from January 17 to 28, but those who are unable to attend can access the festival’s various offerings digitally. Tickets for performances start from $35. Find out more here.
