Local independent creatives take centrestage at Labour Block, an alternative marketplace and ‘open studio’ event where seasoned and underrated artists and labels come together to showcase their unique and diverse works. Peruse more than 20 booths, featuring street fashion, wooden furniture and home items, books and zines, as well as whimsical pottery pieces and art prints. Feeling hungry? Pick up some decadent baked goods from 222 Bakehouse, who specialises in brownies and cookies. Labour Block is a one-day-only fringe event that’s part of comma, a creative arts festival by *Scape.
