We thought that the latest edition of the Katong Square Lifestyle & Vintage Market was the last one for a while, but hurrah, they’re back again for this long weekend. And this time, the market spans a mighty 10 days from April 28 to May 8. There was a sizable crowd the last run and we doubt it’ll be any different this time round.
As usual, there’ll be an array of all things vintage – ranging from quirky home decor finds to delicate pieces of jewellery. We’re especially excited for their tie-up with independent vinyl record store Fook Yu Records, since there’ll be thousands of vinyl records up for grabs.
As announced on their Instagram post too, there’ll be various knicknacks on sale for under $10. This includes the likes of crystal glass tumblers to handwoven wicker baskets – it’s pretty much anything under the sun. But as it goes, one man’s trash is another’s treasure. That is one idiom we’ll be taking note of because by painstakingly rummaging through these antiques – plenty of vintage shoppers, including us, will be leaving happy.
Make sure to leave no stone unturned at these gazebo tents and old-school pushcarts: there’ll also be crafters and makers setting up booths, racks of vintage clothing, and even a black German youngtimer classic car on display.
Once again, look forward to a DJ lineup featuring DJ Aceman, DJ Titus, and DJ Rico: they’ll be playing their curated playlists live on selected slots on Saturdays and Sundays. They’re hoping to make it a once a month, every month market, and with how things are swiftly opening up in Singapore – we’re hoping for that too.
