IHC Pongal Open House

Pongal is a harvest festival celebrated by the Tamil Hindu community all over the world. Taking place from January 15 to 18 in 2024, it is a way for people to give thanks to the sun god Surya for a bountiful harvest in the spring. Every year, the Indian Heritage Centre opens its doors to visitors to learn more about the festival and Indian culture through beautiful light displays and kid-friendly activities such as kolam making and Pongal cooking workshops.
