If your idea of spending National Day is to champion local makers, artists and musicians, look no further than this cool collab between The Local People and the Singapore Land Authority. Located at the former St. Andrew's Mission Hospital, next to Maxwell Food Centre, I Am Citizen is a creativity-centric National Day bash that allows local makers and tinkerers to show off their inventions and teach others how they can try the same thing at home.
There are also plenty of performance pieces including an interactive show that combines magic, music and experimental visuals. And if you don't want to miss all the NDP action, head to the rooftop for the live screening of the parade. It also makes an ace spot to catch the fireworks, ending the evening with a bang – literally.
