Time Out says

New mega lifestyle destination New Bahru is heating up this weekend with the third edition of Green-House, a sustainable festival by Pass It On Studio. This edition is the biggest one yet, with art installations, creative workshops, sustainable shopping, and even pet adoption drives taking place across three zones: Renew, Reimagine, and Reconnect.

Headlining the Renew zone are two art installations: see used car parts transformed into beautiful and functional art pieces at Circling Zero or the inner fabric lining of reclaimed luggages woven into a tapestry at Samsonite: Tomorrow Is Here. There will even be a cosy mini-theatre called Helinox Cinematheque, where you can catch films co-curated by Singapore Nature Film Festival 2024 while couched in seats by South Korean outdoor furniture brand Helinox. Those looking to furnish their home with sustainable furniture and lifestyle products should also visit Castlery’s showcase of upcycled showroom pieces and a market featuring wares from eco-friendly brands like Objects.re, Ferticlay, OFFCUT, and Wild Dot.

Visit The School Hall at New Bahru for more cutting-edge, sustainable products and concepts at Reimagine. Besides wellness workshops and Nespresso pop-ups (centred on its local recycling program), this zone is home to the Mercedes-Benz Kantine. Led by sustainability-driven bar Fura, this pop-up restaurant offers a menu of imaginative plant-based food and drinks. Munch on the Dogless Hotdog, made with slow-roasted carrots, and sip on Cult Goop, concocted with a medley of vegetables and herbs. The pop-up seats 60 guests per slot (two slots per day) – find out more about it here.

There’s no less than two pet adoption drives happening at Green-House this year. Adopt a rabbit from the House Rabbit Society of Singapore at the Reimagine Zone, or bring home a dog or cat from the Chained Dog Awareness Singapore and Cat Welfare Society at the Reconnect Zone on The Lawn. In a cool partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Korean outdoor furniture brand Helinox, The Lawn will also become a campground where you can lounge and have outdoor picnics. There will even be a pet photoshoot contest where you can win a $400 Helinox camping set.

This pet-friendly event is completely free to enter – find out more about the full line-up here.
