We all have that moment when our closest friend and foe – our smartphone – suddenly decides to run out of juice when we’re barely halfway through the day. Here are some charging points located around the island where we can revive them and continue to stay connected while out and about.

Free charging points

MRT stations

Long commutes on the MRT often mean that we're out of juice by the time we reach our destination. The next time you're at one of these spots, simply plug in and fill up while waiting for the rest of your friends to arrive.

MRT stations with charging points include...

Bugis

City Hall

Orchard

Tanjong Pagar

Outram

Kent Ridge

Ang Mo Kio

Shopping Malls

Don't let something like your phone running low on battery get in the way of your shopping experience. Malls like ION Orchard, Orchard Central, Raffles City, Suntec City, Millennia Walk, and the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands offer handy charging services. Simply register with the customer service counters by leaving your personal particulars or paying a deposit, and you're able to borrow a portable charger for the day.

While City Square and Liang Court may not have portable chargers for rent, you can still leave your phones inside locked docking charging stations located near the customer service counters and return to collect your phone once you are done with your shopping.

With over charging stations spread across its terminals, Changi Airport makes sure you'll never run out of battery while waiting for your flight. Locations that have a charging point include outside of Cheers in the Terminal 3 public area, at the customer service counter of the Terminal 1 public area, and if you’re going through transit, along the seats near the check-in gates.

National Public Libraries

Conveniently located in central Singapore, the National Library at Bugis and the library at Somerset, Chinatown and the Esplanade are fully fitted with charging points though you might need to bring your own charging wire. Simply pop by, read a book and rest up while your phone gets the boost it needs.
