Time Out says

To gear up for Phase 3, some performing arts venues in Singapore including those managed by the National Arts Council, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, and Singapore Symphony Orchestra are rolling out pilot live performances to audiences of less than 50. But others remain shut until further notice. This includes The Nest, a new 520-square-metre hole-in-the-wall within the Pasir Panjang Power Station backed by 24Owls, the team behind five editions of Laneway Festival Singapore and the inaugural The Alex Blake Charlie Sessions in 2019.

Not letting the current restrictions dampen its spirits, 24Owls is kicking off the very first edition of its ongoing series aptly titled Flock at The Nest on October 9 with a 60-minute digital concert featuring multihyphenated star Benjamin Kheng, singer-songwriter Lewloh, and R&B darling Marian Carmel, recorded from The Nest.

The music space was originally assembled to bring music fans, musicians, and creatives together to not only discover the next best thing, but to share their material, bounce ideas off each other, and hone their skills at live performances. Flock at The Nest was also initially planned to open this year with physical, intimate gigs that spotlight new and original content, where the community can revel in the freshest exports from the local music scene with a tipple in hand.

Based on the original idea, the online concert comes complete with cocktails and mocktails from Gudsht delivered to your doorstep for an all-rounded experience. Choose your poison from cheng tng gao with Courvoisier cognac and Amaretto liqueur to a kaya-based mocktail with cold brew coffee and fresh milk and oats infusion.

Catch a sneak peek of the new music venue in all its industrial glory as well as a dose of the Singapore sound with the debut of Flock at The Nest on October 9 at 8pm. Tickets are available from $15 at 24owls.sg, and allow ticket-holders to watch the show as many times as they wish until October 11.
