Drums

The double bill features a pair of reinterpretations of the noh classic The Damask Drum by Shigeki Nakano and Chong Tze Chien. The story follows an old man who’s obsessed with his beautiful neighbour, and the tragic consequences of him trying to steal a kiss from her. Nakana and Chong’s retellings are each presented here by two different sets of actors. In English and Japanese with English surtitles.
