All of these roasts are worth going out for, but Camp Kilo’s is one of those that leaves diners asking why so many others get it so, so wrong. Get down and dirty with juicy chunks of roasts slapped on your plates as Camp Kilo’s famous brunch party, Cooking Beats, returns to Kilo Kitchen this Sunday. This isn’t your typical roast, however, not when there’s a whole pig cooking on Camp Kilo’s self-made spit for more than four hours. The centrepieces also include chargrilled Iberico pork ribs slathered in chipotle spices, and roasted corn-fed chicken with sazon seasoning; all served with pickled veggies and coleslaw. Wash it all down with free-flow alcohol ($58) (Rose, Red and White Wine, Beer and Red Sangria) or a Mango Margarita Slushie, whichever you prefer. As per usual at Kilo, the party continues with DJs Himmat, Zafirah and Taaka working the decks with their fun and funky sounds to cap off an evening well spent in good company.
