The Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay is blooming with charming chrysanthemums this September. Inspired by the beautiful meadows and grasslands of Mongolia, the floral display will include at least 80 varieties of chrysanthemums, including 10 unique varieties that have never before been seen in Southeast Asia. Besides basking in the vast fields of the Mongolian steppes, you can also get a slice of Mongolian nomadic life at a life-sized ger (meaning "home" in Mongolian) which will be on display for you to enter and explore.
The celebration of Mongolian culture continues with the Rhythm of Mongolia. Happening only from September 30 to October 1, the event will feature a rousing performance by Shinetsog-Geni Dorjnyam, a throat singer and horsehead fiddle player of the band Uuhai. If you're not familiar, it's time to be. This metal rock band has been making rounds on the festival circuit in Europe, performing at the likes of Bloodstock Open Air, only UK's biggest independent metal festival.
