Singapore's going automobileless for Car-Free Weekend. Several streets in Telok Ayer and the Civic District are closed off to vehicles for a line-up of fun-filled activities to promote a car-lite lifestyle and spotlight Singapore's heritage.
Together with The Local People, celebrate local culture and heritage at Local Heroes at Telok Ayer – Food and Art Market where you can browse through the various offerings, check out the art installations and partake in engaging activities. Then grab a seat at the first-ever Communal Dining Area to refuel or get your movie fix at the locally decked out spot.
Other highlights include Parks Festival featuring live music at NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra, free pet health checks and microchipping services by Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), as well as an obstacle course for doggos. Keep the tots busy at the Kids’ Play Zone complete with an outdoor ball pit, inflatable play area, and the ActiveSG Imagination Playground, an unstructured play area for children. Cyclists can look forward to fun cycling-themed activities at the Move Happy Cycling Festival featuring a 5-kilometre treasure hunt, cycling-themed games and challenging circuits.
