After a three-year makeover, the Peranakan Museum is ready to invite visitors back to its Armenian Street digs. With one of the world’s most comprehensive public collections of Peranakan objects, it’s the perfect place to get schooled on the art and culture of Peranakan communities in Southeast Asia. Explore the communities’ rich cultural traditions and distinctive arts through themes related to origins, home and style across its nine stunning galleries.
To celebrate, the Peranakan Association Singapore, the Arab Network @ Singapore and the Peranakan Indian (Chitty Melaka) Association Singapore are throwing a very special bash. From February 17 to 19, hit up the Armenian Street Party for special performances of fashion and dance, food at the makan market, as well as gallery tours and craft workshops.
