The British poet, educator and writer was the very first winner of the London Mayor’s Poetry Slam back in 2002, and he’s spent the following years honing his craft and writing extensively. His works have been translated into Spanish, Japanese and French, and are studied in American, British and Australian universities. He’s in town as part of SPEAK, Canvas’ new poetry collective that aims to become a platform for poets to share their works. Also featuring local poets Stephanie Dogfoot and Benjamin Chow.
