From the mind of Cultural Medallion recipient Haresh Sharma, comes a tug-at-the-heartstrings play about two families, a ghost, a cat and three mosquitoes. Say what? First staged in 1994 as part of the Singapore Festival of Arts, Three Years in the Life and Death of Land follows Eric Lim who returns home from his studies abroad and marries his long-time sweetheart. But in a span of three years, things start to go sour. Despite the two families being united by love, they also find themselves at a crossroads divided by the couple’s pain. Ultimately, the play is about one big family, trying their best to be happy.
