Raden Mas Bangsawan

This bangsawan (Malay opera) tells the story behind the legend of Singapore’s Princess Raden Mas, who sacrificed herself to save her father’s life. The Nadiputra-directed opera follows the intrigue and scandal of the royalty in the East Javanese kingdom of Kediri, and stars the likes of Margaret Chan and Norish Karman. Performed in Malay with English surtitles.
