This screening kicks off the launch of Emily@Home Digital Arts Project, an open call for video submissions from the public based on five iconic passages from Emily of Emerald Hill. Written by Stella Kon, the monodrama has been performed to critical acclaim locally and internationally. The Emily@Home Digital Art Project is supported by the National Arts Council's Digital Presentation Grant for the Arts, as part of the #SgCultureAnywhere campaign to bring together the best of Singapore's arts and culture's digital offerings to be experienced by anyone at any time.

The open call welcomes all participants from the public – both locally and globally – to channel their inner artist showcase their own interpretation and portrayal of Emily. Participants from all over the world, regardless of age, gender, race or acting experience, are invited to submit their most unique interpretation of Emily by submitting one or more recorded videos of their acting based on the five passages from Stella Kon's iconic script.
