Contemporary dance company Sigma invites you to experience an authentic expression of these strange times in 12 moving bodies in Civil Twilight, performed live in the theatre. Giving pause to this unassuming moment of transience, Artistic Director and Choreographer Hong Guofeng reflects on duality in Civil Twilight. Examine opposing states of day and night; control and care; beginnings and ends through movement, and come to an understanding of the complexities of human emotions – in any way you choose.
Civil Twilight marks Sigma’s first staged performance outside of its usual black box or outdoor site-specific settings performed by 12 Singapore dancers, with original music composed by Redwan Hamzah (Singapore) and Ana Lentini (Argentina). This performance also celebrates Sigma’s 10th year in contemporary dance.
