Acting Mad

If there's one thing The Necessary Stage gets right, it's schooling theatre-goers about mental illness. Under The Orange Production, Acting Mad is based on the text by Haresh Sharma (who also directs this) and SOTA graduates Harris Albar and Maryam Noorhimli. Based on verbatim texts of interviews with local theatre actors who experience mental health issues, this production highlights the mental illness and stigma found within the industry and how theatre can aid such individuals.
