Our team visited two City Osteopathy & Physiotherapy clinics – Cheryl headed to the Robinson Road outlet, while Joyce checked in at Guthrie House – and we were impressed by the highly personalised and professional care at both locations. Each session began with a thorough review of medical history and specific concerns. At Robinson, osteopath Davide identified that Cheryl’s ankle mobility issues were affecting her knee, hip and overall strength on one side. Her treatment involved targeted stretches and massage focused on the shoulders, back and hamstrings, alongside gentle joint mobilisation. By the end of the session, she felt noticeably looser and more upright. Davide also recommended a simple chest-opening stretch to do at home to improve her overall posture.
Over at Guthrie House, physiotherapist Madeleine recommended ultrasound therapy to relieve Joyce’s strained back and shoulder soreness. The warm, tingling treatment uses soundwaves and heat to penetrate deep into knotted muscles, and the treatment worked quickly to ease the discomfort. This was followed by a deep tissue release massage to further relax tight muscles. To wrap things up, Madeleine shared a tailored stretch and strength routine which included exercises like the dead bug and cat-camel.
