Far East Plaza may be better known for mani-pedi and hair salons, knock-off shoe stores and tattoo parlours but there are some cool gems to be discovered too. On the first floor, there’s a small but bright store with adaptations of the famous blue Ikea Frakta bag on display. At the corner of the store lies an industrial-standard sewing machine where these creations are made. Klone reuses old materials and upcycles them into new things like bags, pouches and purses. While the team mostly work with plastics and the iconic Ikea material, you can also give them suggestions and bring your own fabrics for them to transform into something new.
