It’s not easy being a jeweller here, what with competition coming from all sides. No wonder Goldheart Jewelry has been leveraging on local star power of late, collaborating with celebrities Eunice Olsen and Lisa Ang, and now forging a partnership with renowned bridalwear designer Ted Wu. The Orient Bliss collections borrow from a number of Asian cultures; the Chinese collection focuses on ‘flowers in bloom’ designs, with dark pink sapphires (from $1,568) that complement Wu’s Chinese-collared gowns perfectly. The Japanese range features purple-gold ‘sakura’ floral motifs in a necklace-and-earrings combination, as well as a belt and pretty hair attachments (from $1,628). Meanwhile the Indian pieces zero in on piercing blue topaz, in the form of white-gold peacock tails (from $1,048). Launched just recently, these original creations will not be sitting on the shelves for long. Word to the wise for all bling-less brides-to-be: head to the nearest Goldheart outlet now.
