If you’re into arts and crafts, then your heart will sing at Krafers’ Paradise in City Square Mall. Started as a small scrapbooking shop, it’s now spread across three shop units in the mall. The neat and organised interiors are loaded with art supplies like stretched canvases, brushes and spray paints. There are also detailed plaster figurines that can be used for carving and painting. Time to draw up a shopping list for that next project.

Start off your meal with prawn cakes ($15), don’t miss out on the deliciously thick tom yam nam kun ($12), and try the Thai-style braised pork knuckle (from $10), which tastes just like it does in Bangkok. This is a solid option for any hungry family.

We’ve got to admit, this is for the adults as much as it’s for the children – because made-to-order fried chicken wings (from $7.95) need no more explanation. Choose from 11 flavours, like the Louisiana rub and hickory-smoked barbecue, which are popular with the adults, or garlic Parmesan for the kids. Takeaway or delivery is easy, just head down to Wingstop’s official website – but don’t forget to hit up the physical outlet at City Square Mall once restrictions are lifted.

The brand new Kidodo Indoor Playground is a paradise for distractible kids with its wide variety of fun elements. The playground has three whole levels for children to explore – they certainly won’t be bored with checking out the spiral slides, ball pits, trampolines and even a sand area. It costs just $12 for one hour of playtime on a weekday ($15 on weekends), going up to $22 and $26 for two hours of playtime on weekdays and weekends. There are also 10 or 20-hour value passes ($100 and $189), which we reckon your kid will be begging you to get.

They say everywhere can be a playground – that's certainly the case for Airzone, the world's first indoor suspended net playground that welcomes both the young ones – and the not too young as well. Occupying the atrium space between different floors in City Square Mall, be prepared to explore the multiple play areas where you can dive into a ball pit, crawl through a maze, climb to the top and try out the slides or just hang out on the suspended nets.
