After three years, pop-up market Artbox is back – bigger and more Instagrammable than ever. Air-conditioned too, as it'll be held indoors at Singapore Expo Hall for the first time. Expect at least 20 of the iconic shipping containers this time bedazzled with projection mapping by visual artist Aundraj Jude and motion designer Reynard Adrianto. Putting the final touches on the theme of Vision are art installations by JELILO artist Lester Lim and tokidoki, which together tell a tale of hope, courage and inner strength.
Stick around for fun workshops and intense challenges. Fortune Town is where you get to dabble in unique – even mystical – arts, such as aura reading, henna and jagua body art, and even crystal shopping. And for something really novel, why not test your limits at a slew of challenges? The Beam of Pain is a mini obstacle course featuring a 15-metre balancing beam lined with acupuncture mat. Conquer it and walk – or limp – away with the $888 cash prize.
Artbox Singapore 2023 will be held at Hall 6 of Singapore Expo. Those who have missed out on the early-bird pricing can still purchase tickets at $5 per person per entry. Visitors looking to attend all six days can opt for a Season Pass at $30 per person with priority entry as well.
