The date: dinner at Osteria Art.
First impression
Rudy: 'I got there first, and she arrived shortly after. She's pretty, and I felt "stunned like vegetable" for a bit. She's also really cool and down to earth.'
Sandra: 'I was 10 minutes early, and he was already there. He seemed friendly, and stood up to shake my hand. He wasn't bad on the eyes.'
Chemistry
Rudy: 'Once we found out we were both into rock climbing, we clicked. We talked about work, and the food we like and don't like. Our backgrounds are pretty similar, but it's too soon to tell if there's anything romantic.'
Sandra: 'Our chemistry was okay. We had things to talk about, like how we don't drink coffee. We both rock climb, though I'm hardcore, and he's more casual. I'm at the gym three or four times a week, and he's there once a week.'
Awkward moment
Rudy: 'It felt awkward before she arrived – I was there sitting alone at the table. When she arrived, all the awkwardness melted away.'
Sandra: 'None, really. It was quite comfortable. Nothing he said made me feel weird.'
Afterward
Rudy: 'We wanted to order another dessert, but couldn't get over the food coma. I got her number and we texted a bit the next day.'
Sandra: 'We both went our own ways. He got my number, but I'm pretty open to giving it out, so it was nothing major.'
Verdict
Rudy: ♥♥♥♥ 'I've never been on a blind date; I'm actually quite happy I did. There might be a second date. If not, I'd go out with her as a friend, since we both climb.'
Sandra: ♥♥♥ 'It went well, but there's no chemistry. I like guys who are focused and have strong ideas about what they want in life – I didn't get that from him.'
