The date: our daters had a meal at Birds of a Feather

First impression

Cherylene: 'He seems like a pleasant, clean-cut guy. But he’s not really my type. I prefer the artsy, edgy sort.'

Frank: 'I was a little stressed, but calmed down when I met her. She was very easy to talk to.'

Chemistry

Cherylene: 'No spark. He kept talking about techy stuff and Elon Musk. I was like, "Uh huh. Cool story, bro."'

Frank: 'It’s hard to judge, but I wouldn’t say it won’t come. We talked for three hours, and it was a fun date.'

Awkward moment

Cherylene: 'He brought up AI, and I mentioned chat bots. He didn’t really understand the reference.'

Frank: 'None, really. She was super easy to talk to compared to other people I’ve met.'

Afterwards

Cherylene: 'I asked for his Facebook to get tips on Japan – he lived there for a bit – since I’m visiting soon.'

Frank: 'We took the train back together, and she asked for my Facebook to keep in touch.'

Verdict

Cherylene: ♥♥ 'He’s a nice, decent guy. But nope – we don’t connect. He’s just too square for me.'

Frank:♥♥♥♥ 'I’d give the date a 4.5, and the person a 3.5. So it’s a four overall.'

The atmosphere
'The vibe really helped the date. It’s the first restaurant I’ve been to in Singapore that’s so beautifully decorated.' – Frank

The food
'I had the signature burger with foie gras. Super indulgent and well presented, with a juicy fillet – it’s comfort food.' – Cherylene

The drinks
'I had a smoothie, which tasted like the tropics. I wish I had booze, but he doesn’t drink!' – Cherylene
