Sure, live seafood tanks in Chinese seafood restaurants are commonplace. But Yú Cuisine’s striking blue and silver decor, with wavy and bubble-like sculptural pieces, isn’t. No surprise, then, that seafood’s the focus here. Yú Cuisine’s signature dishes include the Hong Kong Aberdeen chilli crab ($4.80 per 100g), Shanghai dumpling in lobster bisque ($14 per portion), and deep fried fish with lemongrass and cashew nuts ($38).
Besides the fruits of the sea, Yú also doles out Peking duck and roast meats (from $14). But for something less ordinary, give the smoked soya sauce chicken a go. Even the dim sum isn’t content with playing it safe – the dinosaur rice roll ($8.80) is essentially an upsized you tiao, stuffed with popiah fillings and topped with pork floss.
