Wok and Barrel's modern Singaporean stylings colour the air again at a three month pop-up at Joan Bowen Cafe. Working with the youths with special needs staffing the kitchen, former owner and chef Shen Tan schools the team to cook up her signatures like beef rendang ($14), bak chor mee pasta ($18), pulot hitam cake ($10), and her Shendol Delights ($10) take on the chendol. New creations like buah keluak pasta ($18), grilled laksa salad ($12), and char-grilled eggplant salad ($12) will also be introduced to Joan Bowen's menu.
