This tried-and-tested 2016 Michelin Bib Gourmand winner on Peck Seah Street serves up a curious mix of Thai and Peranakan vegetarian dishes. Till date, there's only one other plant-based restaurant in Singapore apart from Whole Earth awarded the Bib Gourmand.
Order up a bunch of dishes to share. On the local front, it's the mushroom rendang ($26) that you should have your eyes on. The rendang is a dry, Penang version with shiitake mushrooms coated in a rich, flavourful gravy — great for downing some rice. You'll also spot a plate of the Thai Sweet & Sour Delight ($21) on pretty much every table. Other must-orders include the signature olive rice (from $12), where you get the choice of white rice or a healthier brown rice option; as well as the Enchanted Forest ($28). This dish comprises braised broccoli with Monkeyhead mushrooms, known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that boost the immune system.
