The Mama Shop

Opened by MediaCorp actresses Felicia Chin and Sora Ma at the Old Police Operational Headquarters, this café is fashioned after the mama stores of yesteryear. But despite the retro vibe, the menu is surprisingly modern, with items such as the Happy Peppy Seafood Burger filled with Boston lobsters ($14.90) or the modern take of the beloved takoyaki staple, the Okaasan ($4.90) which combines waffles with seaweed chicken, takoyaki sauce and bonito flakes. The beverages are considerably more traditional with sparkling lime juice, a Peanut Prince ($4.50) and a Mama Iced Kopi ($2.90).
