Tan's Tu Tu Coconut Cake

Arguably the best tutu kueh in town, the traditional snacks at Tan's Tu Tu Coconut Kueh are lovingly handmade by the ladyboss everyday (her brother, Mr. Tan, has passed on) at the Havelock (until 3pm) and Clementi (after 4pm) outlets. The peanut filling is a crowd favourite, with a subtle saltiness that keeps you coming back for more, while the brown coconut filling is sweet – but not overly so (5 for $3.50). The latter is a personal favourite. If you're filling adventurous, you can give the chocolate filling a go (5 for $4). No matter the flavour, the chewy yet tender skin of the tutu kueh is what keeps customers coming back to this shop.
