Local bakery Swish Rolls first went viral last year for the Croon, a New York-inspired circular croissant that’s generously stuffed to the brim with cream. Now, they’ve opened a pop-up at the corner of Paragon’s basement – where bubble tea store Tiger Sugar used to be.
The best-selling Croon ($6.20 each) comes in three flavours: dark Valrhona chocolate, pistachio, and biscoff. But it’s the new croissant egg tart you’ll want to try, available in either the original or mochi with a chewy rice cake centre. These egg tarts ($2, U.P. $2.50) are in such high demand that each hungry patrons can only buy six tarts at a go.
Make sure to try the new croissant cup series too – we’ve got our eye on the Croque Madame croissant cup ($7.50), filled with a savoury gruyere bechamel sauce and topped with a sunny side up egg. Other flavours include the equally savoury caprese cup ($7.50) with ricotta and cherry tomatoes, and for the sweet tooth, a pistachio-lemon cup ($6.80) or berries-cheese cup. Both of the sweeter croissant cups are priced at $6.80.
This Swish Rolls pop-up will be around from now till May 23, at Basement 1 of Paragon Shopping Centre. You can also pre-order online and collect your freshly baked goods here.
