Former head chef of Meatsmith Little India, Kurt Sombero, is teaming up with Smoke & Mirrors for a one-day culinary pop up just in time for Valentine’s Day. The Valentine’s Day dinner offers a preview of his new dining concept called Kubo, a a contemporary wood-fired barbecue restaurant showcasing traditional Filipino techniques and multicultural ingredients.
Look forward to a specially curated four-course menu paired with cocktails from Smoke & Mirrors. For starters, tuck into freshly shucked Sunseeker Oysters dressed with smoky soy and onion dressing. While you settle in with your better half as you gaze at the stunning skyline, tuck into the Beef Tongue Callos and Pan de Sal flat Bread, featuring braised and caramelised beef tongue, chickpea puree, fried honeycomb tripe, peppers, and roasted carrots. For dessert, you’ll be served a classic Filipino dessert Halo Halo paired with the spirit-forward digestif cocktail Cupid’s Cup, made with Chivas 18 Years, Chivas Sherry Oak and Curaçao.
