The original Sin Lee – a hawker known for its prawn mee – wouldn’t let Sean Lim and Jerraldine Chen take over its Jalan Bukit Ho Swee space unless they kept its name and signboard. So they did. For this heritage-themed café with a distinctive black and white colonial outlook, find slightly overpriced Western-cuisine meals like fried chicken waffle ($21.90) and tomato-baked eggs with sausages and potatoes ($17.90) created with the chops Lim picked up from stints at the defunct Guy Savoy and the Mandarin Oriental Singapore. Papa Palheta beans are served up in a variety of coffee permutations (from $5.50).
