Located at Basement 1 of Great World City, Shokutsu Ten houses five Japanese dining concepts within one space: Ami Ami (#B1-03/04), Men-ichi Sapporo Ramen (#B1-02) and Shimbashi Soba (#B1-01), Ichiban Boshi and Kuriya Japanese Market.
Stop by Ami Ami for its egg tempura rice ($6.50), an onsen egg wrapped in deep-fried beancurd skin that you can break over the bowl of rice. Alternatively, treat yourself to a scallop feast with its charcoal-grilled live scallops ($19.80) in a savoury broth that's topped with crabmeat, sea urchin and salmon roe.
If you are craving ramen instead, head to Men-ichi Sapporo Ramen and order the Tokusen Sapporo Miso Ramen ($19.50). The miso-based pork bone broth is light, so don't worry about leaving with a bloated belly.
Shimbashi Soba is headed by Yoshinori Shibazaki who has over 40 years of experience working with soba. Order the Warigo Soba ($21.80) to try five small bowls of chilled noodles with five different toppings.
