Westies can now get a taste of Shake Shack’s famous cheeseburgers now that a new joint has opened at Westgate. To celebrate its opening, the joint has released a limited-time menu and an outlet-exclusive concrete for truffle-lovers out there.
The Westgate shack is decked in shades of deep green and has hues of wood mahogany and marble accents. It also carries a brand-new menu of black truffle items including Black Truffle Burger ($14), Black Truffle Chick’n Shack ($14) and Black Truffle Fries ($8.90).
The Black Truffle Burger is packed with 100 percent Angus beef patty, arugula leaves, fried shallots and decadent black truffle sauce between soft potato buns. The sauce has a gentle truffle essence to it, complementing the flavours of the cheeseburger without overwhelming the taste buds.
The Black Truffle Chick’n features a fried chicken patty with a peppery kick, topped with pink house-pickled shallots and arugula leaves. Another highlight is the Black Truffle Fries, great for truffle fans to snack on. It has the same black truffle mayo sauce, fried shallots and fresh scallions.
The outlet-exclusive concrete is the Peelin’ Cherry-fic ($7.50), a spin-off of the classic banana split. It has a vanilla and chocolate custard base with a blend of fresh bananas, and a generous amount of crunchy cone shards, chocolate chunks and caramel sauce topping.
These truffled menu items is available at Westgate, then at the other seven outlets islandwide from November 4 to December 31.
