Ketogenic diet might be slowly gaining traction in Singapore, but low-carb products are still hard to come by. Baker Janti Joso Brasali knows this all too well; the 53-year-old found it difficult to satisfy her cravings for bread and sweet desserts when she first started her keto journey. And so, she decided to create her own line of keto-friendly bakes, and sold them on her online ketogenic bakery, Seriously Keto.
Along the way, demand for her Ketobuns and Ketospreads grew, and it gave her the confidence to open a brick-and-mortar store along Seah Street. With the new space, Janti now has the room to expand her menu. Besides existing hot-sellers like the Blackout Bun ($9.20 for two pieces) with activated charcoal, or the Utter Nutter ($7.90) peanut butter spread, you can also find new savoury items like the rosemary loaf ($10.90), ricotta spinach quiche ($6.90), and garlic pretzels ($5.90). There’s even a lean Thai iced tea ($6.50) that comes with konnyaku jelly bits and just 3.14g of carbs per serving.
Offerings at the store will rotate daily, so it’s best to call ahead to avoid disappointments.
