Muted and neutral colour palettes are all the rage now, with cafés opting for all-white or beige with a slight pop of colour for its interior. However, Scoop & Sketch ditches that for a more vibrant and bold colour scheme, resulting in an eye-catching dessert parlour located near Aljunied Station. The exterior consists of neon pink and blue chairs, and an unmissable neon sign with the shop’s name written in a funky font.
The first floor offers gelato starting from $5, with a diverse range of flavours including chrysanthemum cacao nibs, black sesame, and Sneakers – a play on the popular chocolate bar Snickers. The gelato is rich and flavourful, while keeping it light enough that you won’t feel bad about indulging in a second scoop. You can pair your gelato with a waffle for an additional $7, or even opt for one of Scoop & Sketch’s Happy Meal (from $14), consisting of a scoop of gelato, a waffle, and a drink. If you’re a fan of Korean convenience store drinks, you’ll be happy to know that Scoop & Sketch offers these drinks in five flavours: muscat, watermelon, blue lemonade, peach iced tea, and orangeade ($4 each).
The second floor serves as a tattoo parlour, where you can get temporary jagua ink tattoos starting from $12, or permanent tattoos starting at $150 by Naked Skin. Tattoo clients are entitled to a discount at the café, and vice versa. Alongside the delicious desserts and tattoo parlour, Scoop & Sketch also features a merchandise area where you can purchase exclusive merchandise such as temporary tattoos, stickers as well as card games.
