Proclaiming itself as originator of the Chilli Crab, Roland's has been in business since 1956. Roland's parents, Lim Choon Ngee and Cher Yam Tian, were the ones who began their seafood restaurant along the Kallang River, and it was the latter who allegedly created the now-famous dish. Here's another reason to visit: the restaurant recently won Class 95's Foodie's Choice for Best Chilli Crab in the country. Other seafood dishes to try include the black sauce prawns ($24), sambal mussels ($12), as well as the moreish, addictive crispy baby squids ($12).
