Japan's largest donut chain is finally in Singapore! Mister Donut opens at Junction 8 on May 21, bringing its famous pon de ring mochi donuts amongst classic flavours and Singapore exclusives.
Mister Donut's pon de ring donuts are famous for being lighter and chewier than your ordinary donut – these you can try in a variety of flavours, ranging from original (with or without sugar glaze) to strawberry and chocolate. Another range worth digging into is the French Cruller, a softer and airier dessert that's served sandwich-style with cream in the middle. Want a bit of crunch? Then the Old Fashion cookie-style donuts will hit the spot for you.
Chocolate lovers should go straight for the chocolate dough donuts, which come coated in golden nut crunch, coconut sprinkles, or in a sweet strawberry-flavoured milk chocolate. If you're more of a traditionalist, then Mister Donut also does a mean yeast donut running the gamut of honey dip to stuffed custard cream.
And to make things extra special, there are two flavours that you won't be able to find anywhere else – not even in Japan. Those are the pon de ring chocolate and strawberry chocolate, so be sure to grab those.
Donut are priced between $2.30 to $2.50, and are available in boxes of six ($14) or ten ($23). Each customer can buy a maximum of 10 pieces at one go, and only four pon de ring donuts in a single purchase. But here's a reason to head down on opening day on May 21 – Mister Donut will be giving out limited edition folders and stickers sheets with any purchase.
