Run by Le Cordon Bleu-trained pastry chef Georgina Sim and her sister Glenda, Les Délices’ fare includes choux pastries ($5.90) in Valrhona chocolate, matcha and Earl Grey milk tea. Try the mango charlotte ($9.50) – a sponge cake with mango mousse and hazelnut crumbles – or one of the chocolate-based cakes. These include the classic heavenly chocolate ($10.90) – layers of chocolate and hazelnut mousse, crispy praline and hazelnut dacquoise – that can be paired with English teas ($4.20) such as peppermint or Earl Grey. Or, go bold with the choco-nana tea ($10.90), which uses caramelised bananas, Valrhona chocolate, chocolate mousse and chocolate glaze.
