Having a fluted glass is often a signal of a momentous occasion, one that is worth celebrating and remembering. And over at Lady M, the confectionary brand is raising a toast to mark its first-ever champagne bar concept debut.
Located on the third floor of Ion Orchard, the 44-seater space provides a gorgeous backdrop for shoppers to unwind over some bubbly and bakes. Grab a seat at the horseshoe bar counter, flanked by reflective rose gold columns, or head over to the main dining area with plush chairs and marble tabletops.
Choose from the full range of Lady M signature treats, from classic mille crepe ($14) to rose-scented slices ($14). But for a dessert fitting of the grand location, get the exclusive champagne mille crepe ($25). Layers of crepe and strawberry pastry cream are stacked upon one another, then finished with a crowning of champagne gelee, made with Bruno Paillard’s Premiere Cuvée Extra Brut. There is also the champagne cake set ($32), where a cake comes paired with a flute of fizz, for a quick dose of sweet indulgence.
Are you a savoury-before-sweets kind of person? Tuck into outlet-only dishes of chilled angel hair pasta ($40), tossed with shio kombu dressing and dotted with European caviar; or slurp down twirls of cream-based fettuccine lavished with chunks of wild-caught Maine lobster ($32).
Of course, those looking for more bubbly can opt for champagnes – available by the glass (from $19) or bottle (from $109).
Come weekends, at noon and 3pm, Lady M Champagne Bar will serve a luxurious afternoon tea set ($60). Snack on dainty versions of mille crepe, truffle cream crab tartlet, and lobster toast – washed down with pots of tea, freshly brewed by the table, and glasses of champagne.
