Before a night of partying over at Singapore’s biggest nightclub, Marquee, have a modern-Japanese dinner at Koma. The focal point of this massive 230-seat restaurant is a two-and-a-half-metre-tall Japanese bell that overlooks a footbridge and reflecting pool that can be admired from any table you choose. If you can, draw your eyes away from the austerity of the space and focus your attention on the menu, which offers everything from sushi and sashimi to robatayaki and tempura. Standouts include the salmon pillow, puff pastry filled with smoked avocado blanketed with salmon sashimi and a burnt jalapeño pepper as well as the D.I.Y. Spicy Tuna, rice crackers topped with spicy tuna tartare.
