Tucked deep within the secluded regions of Pasir Panjang is the aptly-named Hidden Yard café. Previously known as Hot & Spicy Nasi Lemak, the café – more restaurant-like than anything – gives local fare a swanky twist, offering customers the option to dine al fresco. On the menu are an array of nasi lemaks with sides like sambal sotong ($7.50), sambal ikan merah ($8.80) and chicken rendang ($7.30) and other local favourites like mee siam ($3.90) and ayam penyet ($6.80). Wash it all down with fresh calamansi juice ($2.60), or one of their many coffee selections ($2.95-$5).
