Time Out says

Street food from around the world meets at Gully Kitchen and Bar. Inspired by their travels, three childhood friends set out to open a place that would bring together food from their favourite countries – Greece, Taiwan, America, and more.

The extensive menu, designed in collaboration with Blu Kouzina, elevates street finds into hearty plates. You might find Taiwanese-style fried chicken sandwiched between crispy mantou ($16.80), brightened with lime aioli; or creamy and immensely rich balls of labneh ($18.80) served atop basil pesto crispy pita. Skip the galouti kebab ($16.80), which lacks texture from the mushy mixture of vegetables, and opt for the brie puff ($25.80) instead. Encased within flaky pastry is gooey cheese, layered with a classic combination of caramelised onions and mushrooms.

Greek gyro ($25.80) is a reliable choice, while South African BBQ ribs (from $42.80) is tangy, smoky, and incredibly fork-tender. Then, round off the global experience with something closer to home: pisang goreng ($13.80). Banana comes coated in a turmeric-hinted batter, and accompanied by vanilla ice cream. Or wash it down with some spicy margarita ($21.80), made with chilli padi for extra punchiness, and available in varying levels of heat (one to three).

Through its wide-ranging offerings (there are over 30 different main courses!), Gully provides a sampling of various cuisines in just one sitting. While there certainly are hits and misses, its appeal lies in providing a taste of travel – for those starved of adventure.
