Time Out says

46 Mittsu at Everton Park closed back in March, much to our dismay. The popular Japanese sando joint was a cool and casual takeaway joint with camping chairs – and seriously stacked sandwiches. Which is why we're glad to say that the team is back, this time at Go Rogue on North Canal Road.

Signature sandos from the old brand are still on the menu. Sink your teeth into the A.E.C. (avocado, egg, and cheese) sando ($14) and the B.E.C. (bacon, egg, and cheese) sando ($14). If you miss the old beef sando, then try Go Rogue's Cow Me In ($18), made with 48-hour slow-cooked beef brisket, sunny side up, pickled jalapenos, and radicchio salad. Other fun options include a gochujang chicken sando and panko prawn with Bulldog sauce sando. All sandos are sandwiched between two thick slices of toasty, buttery sourdough brioche from local bakery Pelle and Pepe.

The sandos are available only the day menu (9am to 3pm) alongside hearty rice bowls, refreshing salad bowls, and sides. Coffees start at $4.50 for a hot black, and are made from the EZPZ blend from their friends over at Double Up Coffee. If you like, skip the caffeine for fruity sodas, which features concoctions like Yuzu Ginger Sparkling ($7.20) and SakeBana Yuzu x Ume ($8.50).

Swing by Go Rogue after 6.30pm and you'll find the place transformed. Gone is the day menu – in it's place, a more formal, sit-down affair for the dinner service (6.30pm to 10pm) centred around wood-fired cooking. Starters include hamachi crudo with yuzu vinaigrette ($15) and beef tartare with sesame and gochujang aioli ($20), transitioning into big sharing plates like spatchcock chicken ($20 for half, $36 for whole) and wild seabass ($25) on cheesy mashed potatoes. It's a concise menu of three Rogue mains, featuring BBQ pork ribs ($18), Wagyu striploin ($38) and grilled lettuce ($16).

Finish off with some desserts or 'Liquid Audacity' – a selection of beers (just $10 per pint), red and white wines, and natural wines. Go Rogue is open all week except on Sundays. Reservations are recommended for dinner, so make your booking here
